Rideau Park United Church - Special Seasons of the Church Year

ADVENT HAPPENING: Come and join us as we make gingerbread houses for Advent Happening on Sunday, November 27th. A potluck lunch will follow. An offering to cover costs ($10) will be gladly accepted at the door. All are welcome. Look for the announcement in the Rideau Park News.

CHRISTMAS BELLS CONCERT: Sunday, November 27th at 7:00 p.m., come and hear our Bells and Chimes groups perform music of the holiday season.

CHRISTMAS CHORAL CONCERT: Sunday, December 18th at 4:00 p.m.

ADVENT SERVICES will be held on the following Wednesday evenings: Nov 30th, Dec. 7th, and Dec. 21st. These services are held in the Chapel beginning at 7:15 p.m.

ENCARNA: We will also be holding Encarna on December 14th. Encarna: An Advent Experience: Prayer, Art, Justice, Creativity. Encarna is an event for all ages. It is a worshipful experience of the season of Advent. It is a walk through the “stations of Advent.” It is an immersion in the spirit of the Christmas season.

Lent and Easter Activities and Services

LENTEN SERVICES will be held on the following Wednesday evenings at 7:15 p.m., beginning with Ash Wednesday, February 22nd (2012), and continuing on February 29th, March 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th. Volunteer worship leaders and musicians are needed to help with these services.
