Many Gifts, One Spirit

May 2nd A New Creation 9:30 & 11:15 a.m.

Come and join us for the opening of Many Gifts, One Spirit. At each service, we will celebrate the festival’s beginning with worship, dance and spirituality.

May 2nd Bell Concert 7:00 p.m.

The Bells in Spring handbell and chimes concert features ringers from all across Ottawa. A free-will offering will be accepted.

May 8th Art & Hobby Show (see detailed schedule) 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.

All members of our congregation are encouraged to come out and show us their hobbies, art and talent. If you are interested in participating, please fill in the form in the event brochure and place it in the box on the duty officer’s desk, or speak to Nadine Dawson, (613)730-3404, or Richard Glasser, (613)733-3156 ext 223.

May 8th Supper and Variety Show (see detailed schedule) 5:30 p.m.

We will be hosting a congregational spaghetti supper at 5:30 p.m., followed by a variety show at 7:00 p.m. which will celebrate the creative talents of our congregation. A sign-up sheet for the dinner can be found on the Sunday school counter. A free-will offering will be accepted. Everyone is welcome to attend!

May 9th Christian Family Sunday 9:30 & 11:15 a.m.

This Sunday, the worship services focus on family. Our children’s choirs and chimes groups will be at both worship services.

May 16th Communion, Confirmation 9:30 & 11:15 a.m.

Our worship services this Sunday will be led by our youth with Handbell and Chancel Choirs participating. We celebrate both Communion and Confirmation.

May 16th Closing Concert and Evensong 4:00 p.m.

The closing concert for Many Gifts, One Spirit features Dianne Ferguson, organ; Fiona Armstrong, cello; Doreen Taylor-Claxton, voice; and Rideau Park’s soloists. Compositions of John Armstrong will be presented. A free-will offering will be accepted. Following the concert, there will be a Choral Evensong, led by the Chancel Choir.
