EVENTS and ACTIVITIES

	Annual Bake Sale hosted by Unit 7 between services April 10th, 2011
Semi-Annual Nearly New Clothing and small household Goods Sale by Unit 3 occurs on Friday, April 8, 2011, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Saturday, April 9, 2011 9 to 11:30 a.m.
	Annual Used Book Sale by UCW Unit 2 will take place on Friday, April 8, 2011, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Saturday April 9, 2011, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. For information please contact Kay Irvine (613-733-2469).
	Spring Fashion Show hosted by Unit 3, Wednesday May 4, 2011. Come for Coffee and desserts and a preview of the fashions at 6:30. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. with time for shopping afterwards.

RECYCLING

The UCW is RECYCLING all of the following:

	Used eyeglasses for Third World eye clinics
	Used stamps for seeing eye dog training at Manotick
	Campbell Soup labels for Riverview Public School to help purchase school materials
	Pop can tabs for the area Girl Guides House at Parkdale
	Milk Bags to Mats for Haiti (contact Unit 7)

KNITTING

Knitted hats, scarves and mittens for our outreach work are always welcome, and we thank the church members and friends who share this project with us. Cost of wool for knitting will be reimbursed upon request. For Information contact Marg McNally (613-825-4296).

QUILTING

Each Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., ladies meet in the Parlour to make beautiful quilts and enjoy fellowship. These wonderful quilts are sold as fundraisers for the United Church Women.
