DESCRIPTION: The FALL NEARLY NEW SALE is scheduled for Friday, October 4 from 6-8pm and Saturday, October 5 from 9-11:30am. Combine fellowship, fun, frugality, and the future – all in one event. Forget Fast Fashion - recycle and reuse gently used clothing, jewellery, accessories and linens, while getting to know and having fun with other volunteers. To volunteer in any capacity, please contact Marlene Hutchison or email ucw@rideaupark.ca. Please consider helping by only donating gently used fall and winter clothing for women, men and children.  Jewelry is also accepted but, please, no books. As storage space is limited, donations will be accepted beginning in October. We also need volunteers to help out with the following shifts: Sorting: Thursday, October 3 from 9am-4pm and 6-8pm; Friday, October 4 from 9am-12pm. Selling: Friday, October 4 from 6-8pm and Saturday, October 5 from 9am-12pm. Clean-up: Saturday, October 5 from 11:30am-12:30pm. The Nearly New sale is a bi-annual event, spring and fall, and is a fundraising and outreach event made possible by the United Church Women of Rideau Park and their friends. This is a great chance to reuse and recycle clothing.
