The Social Action and Outreach Committee is sponsoring a program with the Ottawa Police Service focusing on Distraction Thefts and Online sc_eventams that are targeting seniors.
Ottawa Police have seen an esc_eventalation in distraction thefts, including reports of violence, and online sc_eventams, including sc_eventammers impersonating officers via email or fake “bank investigator” calls, resulting in significant financial losses.
