The Living in Community: Big Soul Project Concert is on Saturday, May 30 at 7:30pm, doors open at 7pm. The concert is in support of Multifaith Housing Initiative. TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT.
During the summer months, we invite you to share your gifts through song, instrumental music, dance, etc., as part of the worship service. All UCW and UCW friends are invited to our General Meeting on Monday, June 1 at 6:30pm. It’s a chance to chat and socialize! Please join us anytime after 6pm and bring your contribution to the cold potluck buffet of finger foods: sandwiches, appetizers, or desserts (store-bought or homemade). There will be a brief review of 2026 so far, a financial snapshot, and a short time of worship.

Join us on Saturday, June 6 at 3pm for “Love is in the Air”. This is a concert featuring Sue Reive performing jazz standards and some folk pieces. Entrance is pay-as-you-are-able, suggested $10 cash and proceeds go to the Heron Emergency Food Centre.
Food Bank Sunday is June 7. Donations of non-perishable food for the Heron Emergency Food Centre can be placed in the wooden collection boxes at the church entrances. Monetary donations are always appreciated.
On Saturday, June 13, 8am-2pm, the 28th Ottawa Scouts will be holding a garage sale at Rideau Park. Donations of household goods are welcome. You can also rent a table to sell your own items on sale day – contact dps@rogers.com to rent a table for $25. There will be a BBQ (11am-2pm) and bake sale as well as a bottle drive to help support the Scouts. In addition, Rideau Park will be holding a book sale in the room beside Brackenridge Hall.

The Social Action and Outreach Committee is continuing to collect personal care items during June for the four Community Houses in our area. Items can be put in the green bin at the top of the Beecroft stairs. Following are suggested items: dental products, personal hygiene and shower products, grooming products, feminine hygiene products, etc.
Confederation Court Community House supports a boarding house for men transitioning from a period of confinement. They are looking for small kitchen appliances. Rideau Park’s Little Free Library (outside the middle entrance on Cunningham Avenue) is well used. We ask that when you take a book you bring back a book or two to help replenish the library.
Naloxone kits are available to use throughout the church – in the Sanctuary, in Brackenridge Hall, in Beecroft Hall and at the desk outside Beecroft Hall. Naloxone reverses opioid overdoses of fentanyl, heroin and other street drugs. Please tell other church users.

Sunday School: Primary (grades 1-3) meet in the Kindergarten room; Junior (grades 4-6) in the Beecroft Balcony; and Senior (grades 7 and up) in the Parlour. Our childcare space is staffed each Sunday.
