Rideau Park’s Christmas Cheer program provides assistance to 150 families each year, half receiving a hamper and half PC gift cards. The cost per family ranges from $60 for one or two people and up to $135 for a family of seven or more. The total budget required to carry out this program is $15,000. There is a core committee to organize and process the recipients but many volunteers are needed on December 20 to pack and deliver the hampers. If you can assist please add your name to the signup sheet on the landing outside the Parlour or call the office at 613-733-3156. Can’t help with manual labour?
