Rideau Park United Church

Funeral Service for Jim Holton

Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required to attend this service in person, except for those who are not eligible to be vaccinated (children under 5, or for health reasons). All our other Covid protocols are still in effect.

Rideau Park has decided we can have 150 people (not including ushers and worship leaders) for in-person funeral and memorial services. To attend in person, you must register by clicking on the “Register” button above. Please register by 5pm on March 25. You should receive an email confirmation once you have registered. Below are the guidelines that must be followed. Please note that the service will also be livestreamed (click on the Watch Live link shortly before the service starts).

A reception will be held in Beecroft Hall following the service.

Guidelines

  • Limit of 150 people in the pews (distanced within household bubbles) plus ministers, musicians, webcasters and ushers.
  • Entry/Exit by either the Sanctuary door on Alta Vista or by the door next to Georgina’s office on Cunningham (ushers will seat you, and you must remain in your bubble in your assigned seats). When you enter the church, your name will be verified on the reservation list, and you will be asked standard COVID-19 screening questions.
  • NO singing by the congregation. Singing by musicians only with the appropriate mask/shield in place.
  • Masking is still mandatory while in the church and you must sanitize your hands upon entering the church.
  • Please maintain social distancing with people outside of your household bubble.
  • The service will be contactless. Hymn books and Bibles have been removed from the pews.

The sanctuary is wheelchair-accessible.
